Correct sizing is essential to brace functionality. Take time to complete the following steps. Measurements should be taken directly on the skin, with your leg straightened and in a weight bearing position. Use a soft measuring tape or piece of string.

Step 1: Patella Measurements
Locate the middle of the patella/kneecap and measure the circumference around the knee.

Step 2: Thigh Measurements
Now move 6" (15cm) above the mid point of the patella/kneecap and measure the circumference of the thigh.

Step 3: Measurements
Select the appropriate size from the size chart below. If you have any queries, please consult your local PODMX dealer as additional sizing tools are available in store. Also visit our website at podmx.com for brace customization instructions in print (pdf) and movie (mpeg) formats.

READ CAREFULLY –In order to be safe, take care to select your brace in a size that fits your leg snugly. If the brace does not fit you correctly it will not fully protect you in the event of an accident , which may result in serious injury or death. To be effective the brace must be worn in the correct position and with the straps securely fastened.

The brace is worn in direct contact with the leg or with knee brace specific thin socks or leggings.

WARNING: DO NOT WEAR THE BRACE OVER JEANS, RIDING PANTS OR OTHER THICK GARMENTS.

Step 1
Begin by loosening all straps by releasing the velcro strap end and pulling the strap end through the strap D-clip.

Step 2
While sitting with your leg at a 90 degree angle, place the brace over the knee so that the hinge stop housing is located against the side of the knee joint.

Step 3a
To fasten the brace correctly you MUST FIT THE STRAP DIRECTLY BELOW THE KNEE FIRST. This strap sits above the calf muscle and aids in the correct suspension of the brace on the leg.

Step 3b
Pass the strap end through the strapping D-clip and pull to tighten. Make sure the strap is sitting fl at against the skin and is not twisted or bunched in any way. Once the strap feels comfortably snug; secure the strap ends onto the straps taking care to ensure the strap end is aligned with the strap.

Step 3c
Fasten the bottom strap.

Step 3d
Snugly fasten the strap above the knee.

Step 3e
Snugly fasten the top strap.

Step 4
Walk and bend your leg to aid the brace in settling. When positioned correctly, the middle of the hinges will be centered on your knee. If this is not the case, re-apply the brace starting with the hinges slightly higher.

WARNING – The brace should feel comfortably snug; however make sure not to over tighten the straps. Your muscles need to move and circulation to your leg should not be inhibited.

Step 5
To remove the brace simply repeat Step 1.
